I have a confession. I’ve never cooked Halibut before. Actually, I’ve never even eaten Halibut, that I’m aware of. I know…weird.
I was at Costco and trying to decide what type of seafood I wanted to buy for this month. Since they had wild-caught Halibut, I figured I’d go ahead and give it a try! We loved it! It was a mild fish for sure, and soaked up the flavor of the marinade so well. This Halibut recipe is definitely a keeper, and perfect for a weeknight dinner!

- 2 halibut filets
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
- 4 TBSP raw honey
- 2 TBSP coconut aminos You can also buy this at Whole Foods
- 3 TBSP avocado oil
- salt to taste
Ingredients

- Add all ingredients to large Ziploc bag and let marinate for about a 1/2 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Place fish on baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, then turn broiler on and broil for 5 minutes to crisp the top.
- While that's cooking, add remaining marinade to a small saucepan and over medium high heat, bring the sauce to a boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes until reduced.
- Remove fish from oven and drizzle reduced sauce over, if desired.
