The photo doesn’t do this burger justice…it was moist, flavorful and was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had! I was craving a burger the other day and I wanted to make something different than the “typical” burger. I came up with the name because when I bit into it I said, “Holla! This stuff is da bomb!”Note: For best results make sure you finely mince the onion, jalapeño and garlic!
Recipe: Holla Holla Burgers (makes 3-4 burgers)
1 lb ground beef
1/2 avocado
1/4 cup minced red onion
1/2 tsp minced jalapeño (or more if you like some kick!)
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
2 TBSP olive oil
Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet (or preheat grill). relaxinfo. In a bowl, mash all the remaining ingredients together with your hands. Make sure you mash that avocado really good! Form into whatever size burgers you like and place into heated skillet or grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until desired doneness, and allow to sit for about 5 minutes before eating. Don’t squish the burgers while cooking! Just let them be! They will be oh, so much juicier if you resist the temptation to squish. 🙂

Wow! These burgers are moist, juicy, tasty, yummy! Thank you for sharing. I used banana peppers as I didn’t have jalapenos. I also upped the beef to 1.5lbs as I had planned to eat 2 patties. I then used a whole avocado and 2-3 cloves of garlic. I was able to make 5 patties that weighed 6.3oz each.
