I’ve mentioned essential oils a few times here on my blog, but I’m keepin’ it real now, folks. I ain’t holdin’ back. I am so in deep like with these things, I have to share them.
“You’re probably just trying to make a buck.”
“You only care about money.”
“Those things don’t even work. It’s all placebo.”
Maybe you’re saying these things and thinking how you don’t want to hear about these stupid essential oils and you’re gonna unfollow me. It’s ok! I mean, I’ll be sad to see you go for sure. I’m hoping you stick around, if not for the yummy recipes I share, but these things are part of my life, people. I just can’t apologize for that. My blog isn’t going to turn into an essential oil love fest, but it’s definitely going to welcome in these little liquid gems that I lived 34 years of my life without.
It’s like if you were living in a dark world with no electricity, and you were Thomas Edison, walking down the street with an illuminated light bulb. There’s no way you could keep that a secret! Even if you tried, people would climb all over themselves wanting some of that radiating light!
See, I’ve been using essential oils for awhile now. Like, two years. I enjoyed their benefits. I shared them with my kids and husband. But I was hesitant to jump on board the train of essential oils because I knew people were skeptical. And honestly, I didn’t really want to put up the fight. I didn’t want to deal with people telling me it was just for the money. I just didn’t want the battle.
But finally, something sparked within me.When I felt long-awaited relief from the tension in my head and neck after using peppermint oil and a great proprietary blend, I knew it was time. It was like a travesty for me to not share them!
I’m not gonna lie–I’m hoping to be able to supplement my blogging income by sharing essential oils with the world. I would be an idiot if I didn’t. I work pretty much a full-time job on this blog, and although I make a decent part-time income doing it, the thought of being able to share something I love and be able to make money at it, well, that’s pretty much the bee’s knees.
I rarely promote things on my blog.
I’ve never been a Pampered Chef, Avon, Tupperware person. {Not that I care if other people are–I just don’t feel passionate about those products.}
But this? This is different. These oils can change your life. I can help improve my kids’ respiratory health in 1/2 the time with essential oils. I can soothe the irritated skin on my daughter’s arm with lavender oil. I can kick that head tension to the curb in 5 minutes with a proprietary blend of oils. It makes me feel so good knowing I’m taking care of my kids with all-natural, pure, plant-based support They’re not just good-smelling perfumes, there are so many benefits to these oils, it would take me days to list them here.
But here’s something important: Oils do not cure everything. They are merely another tool in my tool belt. For instance, when someone is experiencing head tension, the first thing I’ll talk to them about is their diet. I’ll ask if they’ve had testing done for food sensitivities and vitamin & mineral deficiencies. Because even though essential oils are great, they don’t necessarily get to the root of them problem. They can help manage things when you have a solid base of a healthy diet, regular exercise, good sleep, etc. They can be excellent for helping with seasonal sneezing, but I always suggest taking a look at diet first there, too.Because why relieve symptoms if you can actually get rid of the underlying cause?
My number one priority is to help you!
I bet there’s an oil for many concerns!
But I truly believe picking a company that has 100% pure, therapeutic grade oils is vital. Don’t just go down to the health food section of your local grocery store and grab a bottle. There is a huge difference, not only in the smell, but in the actual potency and purity of the oils. This is why I have picked a company I trust and love.
Friends, I’m still the same me. I’m just sharing something with you that I truly, truly believe can improve your quality of life. It has improved my family’s life a hundredfold. And I’m not just saying that.
There are ways NOT to use essential oils, though, and here are five of them:
