I’ve had some people request a list of some snack and lunch ideas when doing a pretty strict Paleo diet, specifically for kids, so here you go! This is definitely not an exhaustive list, by any means, and will be added to!
Snacks:
Boiled egg w/mustard (my kids really like the Annie’s Organic Dijon)
Toasted Coconut Pecan Snackies
Sweet potato fries (Just cut into wedges, toss in olive oil and garlic salt and bake in oven for about 20-25 minutes, until soft on the inside, crispy on the outside!
Blueberry Muffins to Die For (these are awesome made ahead and refrigerated!)
Cardamom-Spiced Frozen Bananas
Carrots
Apples w/almond butter
Celery w/almond fake id online butter
olives (make sure you buy the kind with no added ingredients)
Lunch (which can include any of the snacks above as well):
Deviled eggs
Lunch meat wrapped around avocado (if you’re kids like avocado)
Fried sweet potato cubes (or any other version of sweet potato)
Fruit (fresh or dried)
Veggies
Nuts/Seeds
Baked goods (see the “dessert” tab on the blog for lots of great treats!)
Leftovers from dinner the night before (probably the most common around here)
Ground beef “tacos” (with lettuce instead of a tortilla)
Applesauce
Almond bread sandwiches (I usually do almond butter and honey)

I find have to be a bit creative with our veggie snacks & lunch sides as we are often eating at a park or even in the car. Here are a few things my kids like
– celery & almond butter (or natural pb if you must!)
– small peppers cut in half & stuffed with avocado or guacamole
– small tomatoes and cucumber slices and carrots (might have to steam the carrots a bit for younger ones, but mine don’t seem to mind them cold)
