Recipe: Shredded Asparagus
1.5 lbs asparagus, ends cut
1 small onion, quartered
2-3 TBSP olive oil
1 tsp garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
slivered almonds to garnish (optional)

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, until just starting to become tender. Remove from skillet and eat promptly.
