I have to be honest, I’ve never cooked swordfish before! I was perusing the seafood section at our local grocery store, and wanted to try something new. The swordfish caught my eye.
I had no idea it was so good! It’s a firm fish, and doesn’t taste fishy at all. That’s a requirement for a good fish in my book. I was so pleased with how this turned out, and honestly, it was so fast, it could be a quick weeknight dinner or lunch!
Whether you’re eating Paleo, doing a Whole30, or just trying to have more fish in your diet, this recipe is definitely one to have on hand!

- 2 swordfish filets
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil + 2 TBSP olive or avocado oil separated
- 2 TBSP lemon juice
- salt/pepper to taste
Ingredients

- Combine all ingredients except the 2 TBSP olive/avocado oil in a large Ziploc bag and let marinate for at least a half an hour, turning at least once.
- Heat 2 TBSP oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, until fish flakes easily. Do not overcook.
- Serve promptly.
