Dairy free frozen yogurt & waffles!
Spring has sprung! And with the warmer weather and sunnier skies, I decided to create an insanely simple, yet incredibly delicious treat!
I was so excited when Silk told me about their new Silk Almond Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative! We don’t consume much soy in our home, but we do consume a lot of almond milk! It’s the only “milk” our kids drink nowadays.
Dairy free frozen yogurt & waffles
There are five flavors of the almond dairy-free yogurt alternative: plain, vanilla, strawberry, peach and dark chocolate coconut. Each yogurt alternative has between 5-6 g of protein from almond milk and a smooth, creamy texture.
I was trying to come up with something unique using this new Silk product for #TopItTuesday, and suddenly, this great idea came to me! Everyone loves a waffle cone, right?? Well, why not freeze some Silk almond dairy-free yogurt alternative, and top it with your favorite waffle?
Want to know how to make this delicious recipe at home?
Here’s what you need:
1 container Silk DFYA (whichever flavor you prefer–I used the dark chocolate coconut for mine!)
1 grain-free waffle (THIS is my favorite recipe!)
Here’s what to do:
Stick your Silk DFYA in the freezer for a 3-4 hours.
Cut your waffle into bite-sized pieces.
Take your Silk DFYA out of the freezer, and run under hot water (upside down) for about 30 seconds.
Remove lid and slide Silk DFYA out onto a plate or bowl.
Top with your waffle pieces enjoy your #TopItTuesday!
