When our founders drafted the Constitution, the country they lived in was vastly different than ours. There was a certain moral compass, a commitment to bettering America and establishing a place that would foster freedom. They had fled an oppressive government and knew the importance of allowing the public to bear arms. Did they make mistakes and were they misguided at times? Sure. But the people who were bearing arms were {generally} a moral people. Our culture has turned away from its moral ... continue reading...
Are the public schools on life support?
Years ago, after Superman was diagnosed with celiac disease but his health was not improving, I did something different for Lent. I committed to waking up at 4:30 every morning to pray for my sick husband's health. I recently went back and read through those prayers. They were desperate, raw, hopeful. It's amazing how quickly we forget God's faithfulness when things are going well. He answered my prayers a thousand times over. But now, nearly a decade later, it's time for me to pray for ... continue reading...

Should someone who dressed up for Halloween as someone of another race now be branded a racist? What things are we doing today (which we're unaware ... continue reading...

I like being able to sit on the couch while my husband goes out to wrangle a lost sheep or cut up a fallen tree. I don't feel threatened or "less than" by a man who takes charge; as a matter of fact, I appreciate it. I find no greater ... continue reading...
