So, most of us have probably heard of the "Dirty Dozen" and "Clean 15" when it comes to organic vs. non-organic foods. Sweet potatoes are on the list of "clean" foods, and on this site, it was written, "Not only are sweet potatoes unlikely to be contaminated with pesticides, they're also a superfood, packed with Vitamin A and beta carotene." I loved this article about the benefits of Kefir and how simple it is to make your own. So often, when we find something that works for us diet-wise, we want to shout from the rooftops to "eat this way and you'll feel great!" And I think that's ok, to some extent. “Artificial Sweetener Disease”–a new phrase, but a new issue?
I've never been a big soda drinker. Aside from when I was a teenager and waitressing at a Mexican restaurant where I was allowed as much free soda as I wanted. Teenager + unlimited supply of soda = Diet Pepsi addiction! Once I stopped working there, I quit drinking soda. I have never really liked to drink my calories. Give me some real dessert to eat!
