Recipe: Avocado-Stuffed Burgers (makes 7 large burgers)
3 lbs ground beef
1/2 large red onion
garlic salt to taste
chili powder to taste
2 eggs
2 avocados, sliced thin
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Meanwhile, combine all ingredients, except avocados in a large bowl. Divide mixture in half. Scoop out a handful of meat (between the size of a golf ball and a tennis ball) and form into a ball. Flatten into a patty, and top with a few slices of avocado:
Top with another patty and gently press sides together to seal. Repeat with remaining meat. Place on heated skillet and cook for about 7 minutes. Flip over and cook another 6-8 minutes, until cooked to desired doneness. Serve between romaine lettuce leaves and top with anything you want!
