Ok, obviously I’ve been pretty excited about Stitch Fix! I’ve shared my last four fixes with you and I feel like Christmas comes every month! So imagine my excitement when I was chosen to be one of only three bloggers to interview a Stitch Fix stylist!! I mean, I think I almost peed my pants. Not really, but close.
For those of you who use Stitch Fix, you probably understand how awesome this is. For those of you who don’t use Stitch Fix yet, I can’t say enough positive things about them. Not only is it fun getting clothes personally picked for you, but the customer service is outstanding.
I just saw a post from someone who had to put her fixes on hold because of cancer treatments. Stitch Fix wrote her a letter with a gift basket and said she was in their thoughts as she started her battle. Another person lived in the region of South Carolina recently devastated by widespread flooding. She told her stylist that she was not ordering that month because she felt she could put her money to better use helping those in her community who were in need. Stitch Fix sent her a sweet note with a FREE jacket that she had requested from them! They are the real deal folks. I love this company!
So, onto the interview. First of all, I wanna know: Is every Stitch Fix stylist this flippin’ cute?!?! Because Michelle is adorbs!!! Scroll on down to see what she had to say about working for Stitch Fix, and what tips she has for you!
1. How long have you been a stylist?
I’ve been a Stylist with Stitch Fix since April 2014!
2. What is the most helpful thing a client can do to help you do your job?
The more communication, the better! Whether that be linking up your Pinterest board to show us some of your favorite outfits and fashion inspirations, or being as specific as possible in your feedback. Feedback is key! For example, I love to know things like: What did you/didn’t you like about a certain piece? What requests do you have for next time? Do you have any fun events coming up?
3. What is the biggest “mistake” people make when scheduling a Fix?
Try to be as detailed as possible in your Style Profile—we want to know all about you! As Stylists, we aren’t able to communicate directly with our clients like you would in a traditional retail setting, so we thrive off of any information they can give us! From their Fix notes when they schedule a Fix, to their style boards on Pinterest, the more the better.
4. What advice would you give to someone scheduling their first Fix?
Enjoy the process and the surprise! Have fun trying everything on (you never know what you’ll love!). Remember, the more you share, the better your Fixes can be.
5. What do you love most about styling for Stitch Fix?
I love this incredible platform that allows me to connect with different types of women all across the country. No matter their background, age, or body shape, I get to play a part in helping them look and feel amazing!
