So, this is my November Stitch Fix review. Did you know there’s a new Stitch Fix app?! Check it out, cuz it has a really cool feature that you’re gonna love! Don’t tell, but I peeked at my fix before it came! That’s one of the fun features of the app!
2. Order your first fix! Your card will be charged a $20 styling fee, but if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20. Because of this I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20 for nothing in return. You will receive five items in your fix. I personally only want clothing in my fix (as opposed to jewelry or other accessories) so I just always let my stylist know!
3. Decide what you want and what you want to send back [in a postage paid envelope]! You have 3 business days to do so – use this time to try everything on, see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it and don’t be afraid to say yes to something that you wouldn’t normally. That’s what makes Stitch Fix so fun!
It should be noted that while I have chosen to receive monthly fixes, this is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! I know some peeps are curious on the pricing, I cover all the prices below!
So this month I had a few requests:
As you can see, I had specific requests, but I also allowed for creative license for my stylist. I think requesting certain things, with no room for alternatives is a great way to set yourself up for disappointment. Part of the fun of Stitch Fix is allowing the stylist to have fun and send something that may be outside of your comfort zone. And if you have your heart set on a certain item, if inventory doesn’t allow for that item, you may end up blaming your stylist when he or she just doesn’t have any control. So, my recommendation? Be specific, but offer up alternatives or encourage your stylist to come up with a backup if you are comfortable! It makes for a much more exciting fix!
SKIES ARE BLUE Wels Quilted Puffer Vest
I was so excited about this one! I have seen similar items on Pinterest, and even pinned a few to my boards. I love that Christina pays attention to my requests and looks at my board to get the best idea of how to style me. I feel so special!
I loved this piece–it was warm and cozy, just how I feel about fall. =) So glad the color is versatile, so I can mix it with something bright and exciting, or something more quiet and muted. I styled with two different shirts so you could see how it would look both ways.
Superman wasn’t a huge fan of this one, but I really liked it. So, what do you think???
Verdict: Kept!
Styled With: |Target shirt (black plaid) and Costco shirt (colored plaid)| |Steve Madden Kadey Boots and black flats from Ross| |Jeans from Ross|
RD STYLE Maureen Twisted Seam Elbow Patch Sweater
I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the elbow patch thing. I’ve seen this trend all over Pinterest and wasn’t sure if I’d be able to pull it off, or if it would be too much out of my comfort zone.
I ended up loving this piece! I think it’s probably my favorite out of everything. When I styled this outfit, I just felt like “me.” Even when I came out wearing it, Superman said it was his favorite. Sooo comfy, love the color, and I think I’m a fan of elbow patches now!
Verdict: Kept!
Styled With: |Jeans from previous fix| |Steve Madden Kadey Boots| |Necklace: Target|
THML Pierina Textured Colorblock Peacoat
Ok, when I peeked in my Stitch Fix app and saw that this was coming, I was cringing a bit. I feel like since I’m so short, a jacket like this is very unflattering on me. What do you think?
I do love that this was obviously made from high-quality materials, was very warm and comfy, and I felt like it fit me like a glove.
Ultimately, since I was kind of “meh” about it, and Superman said he didn’t like it, I decided it just wasn’t for me.
Verdict: Kept, but sold.
Styled With: |Jeans from Ross| |Shirt from previous fix| |Flats from Ross|
PAPERMOON Farmingdale Embroidery Detail V-Neck Knit Top
This was a nice casual piece to get in my fix! It’s lightweight, and I loved the detail on the neck line. I could totally see myself wearing this just around the house with my kids, out with friends spruced up with a bright cardigan and accessories, or to church on the weekend.
Ultimately, this was versatile enough and I recently cleaned out my closet, so was in need of some new long-sleeved fall attire.
Verdict: Kept!
Styled With: |Jeans from Old Navy| |Jacket from Target| |Mustard cardigan from Target |Flats from Ross|
JUST BLACK Dean Skinny Jean
You can’t go wrong with black skinny jeans, right?? Again, so thankful that Christina paid attention to my request and gave me what I had hoped for! As you can see from my note above, I gave her some leeway in case the black skinnies weren’t available and mentioned the distressed jeans. I’m so glad she went with these! Obviously these can be worn with pretty much anything, you can never go wrong with a pair of black skinnies!
These are the same brand and style (just not petite) like the jeans in my first fix.
Unfortunately, they were a bit too big, so I am exchanging for a size down, but at least I still love them!
Verdict: Kept, but exchanging for a smaller size.
Styled With: |Target shirt| |Necklace: Target|

I LOVE that vest!!! SO cute. I’ve seen plaid all over the place right now, is that a thing? If so, I wish I wouldn’t have thrown out all my old clothes! lol

Please keep posting your reviews of Stitch Fix! You do such an amazing job of detailing everything out, sharing your thoughts, and modeling each item! I just got my first Fix, and I ended up keeping 2/5 items. I think we have similar tastes so I’m going to share your posts with my stylist. Have you had the same stylist all along?
Shanti Landon says

I LOVE elbow patches, the Honey Punch gold sequined elbow patch cardigan came in my first ever fix and it was the only thing that I kept. LOVE love the details on a shirt – looks great on you, and I definitely think the black skinny jeans will look perfect on you in a size down!
Shanti Landon says
Thanks, Alyssa! I got my size exchange, and I *love* them!!

Excellent review! I didn’t know you could exchange for smaller sizes! How do you do that?
