It’s persimmon season! It’s also the season of the slow cooker. Leaves changing, crisp air, and early sunsets perfectly set the stage for this dish.
Such a beautiful, simple meal that is filled with sweet undertones from the fruit.
None of my kids like persimmons all that much, but they all loved this recipe, which means mom scores a point! This persimmon-apple pork tenderloin is perfect for a cold, fall day when your rushing around, and need something warm to come home to!

Hi Shanti,
I just left you a message over on the PACommunity Fb page. This looks great. The persimmon trees here are laden, and I never know what to do with them. Thanks for the inspirations!

I tried persimmons for the first time when trying this recipe.
I thought they were delicious and sweet. However when I cooked them in the slow cooker with this recipe they tasted very bitter.
Should they be peeled first?

Hi, Faith! I’m sorry you had some problems. Did you use the Fuyu persimmons? I’m not sure why they would be bitter, but here’s an article that may help? http://www.redding.com/lifestyle/laura-christman-avoid-bitter-persimmon-experience-ep-376198820-355056371.html
