After announcing on my Facebook page that I am resolving to get through the Halloween season without eating junky candy, I decided to make it an official challenge open to all of YOU! Now, eating no junky candy does not, I repeat, does not mean we won’t be eating treats. We’ll just be eating high-quality treats, mostly home-baked, and not giving in to the Kit Kats or Twix bars. Mostly because once I go down that road, it takes a long time to get me back to where I want to be.
What exactly qualifies as “junk?” GMO-laden, not-real-food candy. Stay away from any of those “snack size” Crunch bars or Snickers or Almond Joy (and the king size ones, too). If you want a treat, bake something at home, or find a good quality chocolate bar to munch on. And who knows? Maybe if enough people stop buying this junk, they’ll start offering better, non-GMO options in the mainstream markets!
So, are you in? If so, share this blog post with your friends! Let’s band together to keep each other accountable!

This is a great idea And I really need to get away from the candy monster ( especially after camping the past couple days with family)
