Welcome to a new blog feature! I was inspired by my friend Tina last week. Her Facebook status read, “I want to pray for you. How can I pray for you this week?” I loved it so much, I decided to start something new on my blog.
You may or may not be a praying person. Maybe you don’t even believe in God. But, I do! Not only do I believe in Him, I love Him with all my heart and I have a deep relationship with Him. I have witnessed the power of prayer many times in my life, and I don’t believe it’s something to be taken lightly. I want to pray for you, and so do my kids! You don’t need to be a Christian to ask for prayer; as a matter of fact, you don’t have to follow any religion. Sometimes just reaching out, asking someone to pray for you, can create miracles in your life. You might be surprised at what you see transform in front of you if you invite prayer into your world!
So, here’s how it works:
Each Monday, you will share your prayer requests. And Monday evening, my kids and I will pray over your requests. It can be anything from trivial to serious. I just want you to share!
How can we pray for you today?

Thank you so much for this praying for us! MY prayer is that this will turn out be a wonderful blessing for you and your family. My prayer request: Would you pray that the Lord would give our family CLEAR guidance as to if we should begin the process of adoption. It is such a huge expense, and we are honestly in no position to even attempt this. However, I do know that God can provide what we need, if this is His desire for us.

This is an amazing gift, thank you SO much! I am going through such a difficult time right now. My husband and I are separating, my professional life is a mess, and today I’m having a procedure done to determine whether or not I have cervical cancer. I feel as though the walls are closing around me in every facet of my life, and things certainly aren’t turning out as I had planned/hoped. I am trying to stay positive, but it is difficult at times. I’m absolutely terrified about the future. It means so much to me to know that there are people out there praying for me, even if I’ve never met them before. I am thankful and humbled.

I would love if you would pray for a little orphan boy named Jackson. He lives in China and is rarely, if ever, allowed out of his crib. His only special need is a missing foot! I am fundraising for his future family. Please pray that he is loved on a little today, and not hungry, and that a family comes forward for him soon! http://reecesrainbow.org/55961/jackson

Looking for the strength and courage to take on a new challenge. After the bombings in Boston, MA 2 weeks ago, I felt the need to do something to honor those that died, as well as those that are alive and suffering. I was in Copley Square with my children that day, but was fortunate enough to leave the area just 25 minutes before everything happened. So to honor those that were injured (or died), I decided to start running. Yesterday was my first day, and I am already looking forward to tomorrow. By the end of June, I plan on doing a 5k with my husband, and then look at training for a half marathon, and potentially running the Boston marathon next year. Thank you for doing this!!

I am so touched that you are doing this. I don’t think I’ve ever see a blog do something so selfless. I’m not a Christian, but I have always believed there is a God out there somewhere. Please pray for my marriage. It is in shambles. I’m bitter, and so is he. I am ready to give up, but he isn’t yet. I don’t even know what to ask for specifically, I guess just that I would know what to do. I can’t imagine that we can save what’s left of our marriage, but I’m willing to ask for prayer. Thank you again for offering to pray for people you don’t even know! It truly reflects who you are.

My husband is finishing out his last week of work at a company he has been with for almost 8 years. This job has been wonderful in terms of salary and benefits, but has contributed to him wanting to kill himself with sadness and despair. He is preparing to start his own business next week and is amazingly nervous about the whole process. Please pray for him to have a peaceful heart, pray for him to remember his strength, pray for him to be able to organize his time for the business, himself, our kids, and me. Thank you for doing this. I’m going to pray for the commenters above me.

I would appreciate it if you could pray for our family. We have a possible adoption through foster care, and I really want God’s will for this little girl’s life. Whether with us, or with someone else. 🙂 Just not with her Birth Mum! I have her bio brother (adopted), and 3 bio boys of my own.
Thanks for the offer!!

This showed in my inbox at just the right time. My daughter was born 5 days ago at only 22 weeks gestation and died minutes later. We are hurting so bad…well so bad that i am asking a total stranger for prayer, we are desperate. Please pray for me, my husband and our other three daughters. Our hearts are broken.

Thank you for the offer – will never turn an offer like this down!
I continue to search for a job. I was asked to my first job interview two weeks ago and have not heard a response. I fight depression after applying for jobs over a year with no offers and only one interview to date. (I might have another job interview next week.) I am trusting that God knows what I NEED and that He will provide in His timing, but I am feeling really discouraged. Prayers: for the right job and peace in the meantime.
Being diagnosed with ADD a few years ago was a relief to finally understand my struggles. Then the frustration of not being able to do much about it besides coping set in. I am on my second week of trying the GAPS diet to try to heal my body and hopefully gain back some the brain function I have struggled with since childhood. Prayers: strength to keep with this diet, eating enough to keep my body going (almost fainted a few times) and that healing does take place even if I am not able to strictly adhere to the prescribed diet.
I struggle that my ADD is limiting my job opportunities and/or preventing me from securing a job not matter how simple my prayers are two parts to the same job.
I do praise God for all He has been doing in my life and in my fiancĂ©’s life (healing, growth for both of us individually and as a couple and providing work for Levi and strength for Levi to work 60+ hours a week).
Thank you Landon family for your prayers!

I would like you to pray for my son Ryan, who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks since experiencing a traumatic incident a couple years ago. I worry about him so much!

What a beautiful offer, thank you! Please pray for my husband who is fighting a painful auto-immune disease while dealing with family issues regarding his estranged siblings. We are so grateful for your wonderful blog. You and your family are truly inspiring. We hope and pray that you are able to receive as much, if not more than you give. Thank you!

I absolutely love this idea. Thank you for being such a wonderful, caring person. I would love prayer for my family’s salvation. My husband is not a christian and my daughter (26) although a believer is not living as one. I am also struggling with day to day living for the Lord. I have a 6 yr old step-son that I want to take to church but we are having a hard time finding a home church. I will keep you and your family in my prayers also. God Bless you & your family!

I want you all to know you have been covered in prayer specifically by name by 5 eager children! Thank you for sharing. My heart aches for those of you in pain right now. We will continue to pray! Please let me know if you have prayers answered, Caleb has added each request to his journal and wants to cross them off when they are answered!

I know it’s late Monday night, but I just saw your post on FB about this, and I could truly use a prayer.. Though I’m not Christian, I do believe in God, but have been losing hope and faith in anything lately. I’ve been separated for awhile now and though I still love him, I’m not sure what to do anymore. I feel like I should accept that he will never change and I need to move on, but I’m having a hard time doing that. I’ve also been unemployed for over a year and I’m at a point where I don’t know how to continue on anymore. I know that many people in the world have it worse off than me, and I am thankful for what I do have. But my life has been falling apart for years and no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to get to a better place. Thank you for this offer and if you could add a prayer for me, I would truly appreciate it.

Hi, J! I will let my kiddos know first thing in the morning! I will be praying for you. The wonderful thing about God is that he meets us where we are; broken, undeserving, angry, depressed…there is only one person who can fill the void we all carry in our hearts…and that is God. We were knit together with that void that can only be filled by Him. I was in a relationship when I was younger that I defined myself by. After our breakup, I was desperately seeking a way to ease the pain that had me suicidal. It wasn’t until I truly opened my heart to God and asked him to take over my life (knowing that I had absolutely no control over it) that I noticed true change. I will be praying that you find God, not just in a superficial sense, but in a deep, loving way that will fill you with hope each morning. Thank you for sharing your prayer request! Again, we will be praying for you!

Hi,
Thanks so much for being a praying family and for reaching out to the community at large. God’s word never returns void. I pray that He will bless you abundantly for your obedience! I read through and join you and your family lifting the people and the needs to the Lord. If you think of us, please ask God to grant us favor and wisdom in challenges as we prepare for our youngest daughter’s marriage June 2014.

My husband and I are having severe financial difficulties, partly due to his depression, lack of focus and failure to find a job. PLEASE pray for us and help us get on our feet and return to a happy way of life. We would so appreciate it. THANK YOU!

Please pray for my nephew, Evan, who is currently going through chemo for a brain tumor and was just admitted to the hospital for an infection. Please pray that the results of the lumbar puncture to be clear of cancer and to give him and his family the strength to endure the road ahead as he continues the chemo through the next several months and that the chemo may be successful. Thank you!

Wow this is a wonderful idea and your family is truly blessed to take on these prayers. I think this also gives us a chance to say a prayer for each comment as we read them. I”m glad to be able to do that. My husband’s cancer had spread to his lymph system and he will start radiation this month. Thank you for any prayers for him.

Definitely praying for your husband, Jill.

Thanks so much for this. My husband is unemployed again…7th time in 14 years. We are not as well prepared for this one due to the last 2 being so close together and being underemployed the last 5 years. I am a school bus driver so my work has just decreased drastically as well.
Also, trying to figure out this whole food preservation stuff quickly since I have been volunteering at a farm for my CSA share. Plus the farmer is letting me grow a garden. I am having to balance methods with availability of Pickl-Its, freezer space(due to meat already there), and my lack of knowledge with canning and dehydrating(both of which I am having to learn ASAP). I am so stressed out which isn’t helping my battle with SIBO, IBS, and hormonal issues. No wonder I have been sick for 10 years! I need prayer, rest, hope, and peace…and joy again. I am so tired! Thanks again for prayer! My faith is the ONLY thing that has gotten me this far.

Thank you for praying for my family. We have a blended family and my 9 year old is having extreme behavior issues. He is a very picky eater and it is hard to rule out diet problems. We are trying counseling. We try to give him extra attention to make him feel special.
Please stand with us and believe God will reveal to us the problem so we can fix it. His extreme fits are affecting and setting a bad example for his siblings.
Thank you for your prayers

Monday Night Service Prayer Request:Thank you for all of your prayersCarmen Came back to me and then there were a series of serious attacks-setbacks-she,an evangelist-said some phony prayer partner started calling her fifty times a day, literally. Then when she refused him,she feels he used some type of witchcraft on her. Then, her usually sunny disposion vanished when I called two weeks ago-she said she would talk to me later.First whe texted “Don`t ever contact me again.”I was stunned.I`ve since texted her some-with kindness. She had just come back to me on Christmas Eve and I bought a Valentines gift for her and she for me and we were getting along great again.Thank you for your continued prayers.I please request prayer for the love and relationship between John S and Carmen A,that it will be stronger than ever before on this day and night and at this hour and that it,we and I will be protecected from any and all attacks from evil including any witchcraft and from aggressive, jealous, controlling people, from personal errors, from confusion and that this love will be healed completely from all attacks and Carmen will want to come back to me and will come back.Thank you,John
